Temi di ricerca

L'attività di ricerca ha come oggetto di studio i funghi micorrizici ericoidi e altri funghi del suolo e affronta i seguenti argomenti:

- Risposta dei funghi micorrizici ericoidi allo stress da metalli pesanti: studio dei meccanismi di tolleranza e del significato per la protezione della pianta ospite

- Studio del dialogo molecolare alla base dell’interazione dei funghi simbionti ericoidi con la loro pianta ospite. Questo progetto è inserito in un più ampio progetto internazionale (Mycorrhizal Genomics Initiative, MGI - http://mycor.nancy.inra.fr/IMGC/MycoGenomes/), i cui risultati, in parte pubblicati http://www.nature.com/ng/journal/v47/n4/full/ng.3223.html  sono stati così commentati:
